چکیده
Background: Lipidomics analysis has become a valuable technology for understanding patho-physiological mechanisms and the identification of candidate biomarkers in rheumatic musculoskeletal disorders. Variability within-subject repeated measurements may lead to bias towards null when estimating association between disease or treatment. Hence, information regarding stability metabolite levels over time is essential. Objectives: We aimed assess lipid composition biological reproducibility plasma erythrocytes. Methods: Plasma erythrocyte samples from 42 osteoarthritis patients (77% women, mean age 65 years, BMI 27 kg/m2), obtained non-fasted at baseline six weeks, were used quantitative measurement up 1000 species across 13 classes with LipidyzerTM platform nmol/mL. Data was processed based on relative standard deviation quality controls, taking batch effects into account. Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI) calculated investigate variability concentrations timepoints. The ICC distribution metabolites erythrocytes compared using two-sided paired Wilcoxon tests. Results: measured 778 lipids plasma, 916 After data processing, analyses included 630 286 From these, 243 overlapped sample types. Major differences observed types number per class total concentration within class. Triacylglycerols (TAG) cholesteryl esters (CE) more abundant plasma. Conversely, phosphatidylethanolamines (PE), sphingomyelins (SM) ceramides (CER) less (table 1). In 78% good excellently reproduced, an overall median 0.69. Compared considerably lower amount (35%) well reproduced Median 0.51. Figure 1 shows score erythrocytes, significantly better (p-value<0.001). However, while this not all classes. At class-level, superior TAGs CEs, CERs, DAGs, (L)PEs SMs showed Table 1. Reproducibility of plasma and urinary sex hormone levels in premenopausal women over a one-year period.
Although endogenous sex steroid hormones in premenopausal women may be associated with the risk of breast cancer and other illnesses, direct evidence to support this hypothesis is limited in large part by methodological issues in the conduct of relevant studies. One major unresolved issue is whether a single blood sample (such as is available in most epidemiological studies), collected in a spe...
متن کاملReproducibility of plasma hormone levels in postmenopausal women over a 2-3-year period.
We evaluated the reproducibility of plasma hormone levels over time in 79 healthy postmenopausal women, ages 51-69 years at baseline, who were not using postmenopausal hormones. Three blood samples were collected between 1989 and 1992 from each of these women. We assessed plasma levels of estradiol, free estradiol, percentage of free estradiol, bioavailable estradiol, percentage of bioavailable...

since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...

15 صفحه اولToenail trace element levels as biomarkers: reproducibility over a 6-year period.
We assessed the reproducibility over a 6-year period of 16 trace elements measured in toenails by comparing levels in paired specimens collected in 1982-1983 and 1988 from 127 women in the United States. The Spearman correlation coefficients for the reproducibility of toenail levels of selenium and arsenic (both known to reflect intake of these elements) were 0.48 and 0.54. Correlations for oth...
